This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered performance marketing analytics platform. ClappX provides a decision layer that integrates with advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, ChatGPT Ads) and analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Shopify) to help marketing teams make data-driven decisions about their growth strategies.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Contact information (name, email address, phone number)
• Company information (company name, industry, role)
• Account credentials and authentication information
• Billing and payment information (processed through Stripe)
• Communications with our support team

2.2 Marketing and Advertising Data

With your explicit authorization, we access and process data from your connected platforms:

• Advertising Platform Data: Campaign performance metrics, ad spend, conversions, audience insights from Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, ChatGPT Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
• Analytics Data: Website traffic, user behavior, conversion data from Google Analytics 4
• E-commerce Data: Sales data, product performance from Shopify and other platforms
• Attribution Data: Cross-channel attribution information

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
• Usage data (features used, time spent, interaction patterns)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies
• Log data (access times, error logs)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the ClappX application interface. Specifically:

• Display Your Dashboard: Aggregate, analyze, and present your marketing performance data in the ClappX dashboard that you see and interact with
• Show Recommendations: Generate and display optimization recommendations, performance alerts, and actionable insights directly in your dashboard
• Improve User-Facing Features: Improve the dashboard features, charts, reports, and recommendations that you see and use within the ClappX application
• Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance
• Security: Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems
• Compliance: Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
• Communications: Send you service updates, security alerts, and administrative messages using your account contact information only — not data received from Google APIs

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We may share information with the following categories of service providers, solely for the purpose of providing the Service:

• AI data processors (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI) solely to generate the analytics insights and recommendations displayed in your ClappX dashboard — these providers do not retain your data beyond the immediate API request and do not use it for model training
• Cloud infrastructure providers (Google Cloud Platform) for hosting and data storage
• Official platform APIs (Meta, Google, TikTok) for data synchronization — only to retrieve your data back to ClappX
• Payment processing (Stripe) for subscription billing — Stripe handles payment data per their own privacy policy
• Analytics and monitoring tools for service reliability
• Customer support platforms for ticket management

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to ClappX.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. For Google API data specifically, disclosures are limited to those required to comply with applicable laws or regulations, as described in Section 11.3.

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred with your prior consent. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. For data received from Google APIs, transfer requires your explicit prior consent as described in Section 11.

We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your information:

6. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for 90 days after account closure
• Marketing Performance Data: Up to 2 years, solely to display historical trends and reports in your ClappX dashboard
• Billing Records: 7 years for tax and accounting compliance
• Support Communications: 2 years from last interaction

You may request earlier deletion of your data by contacting us at any time (see Section 7).

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request access to the personal data we hold about you

ClappX is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

11. Google API Services Limited Use Disclosure

11.1 How We Use Google User Data

ClappX accesses Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 data through Google APIs. This data is used exclusively to provide and improve the user-facing features that you see and interact with in your ClappX dashboard, including:

• Displaying your campaign performance metrics, charts, and reports in the dashboard
• Showing optimization recommendations and performance alerts in the dashboard
• Generating cross-channel analytics comparisons visible in your dashboard

Google user data is not used for any purpose other than providing or improving these user-facing features.

11.2 Prohibited Uses of Google User Data

ClappX does not use Google user data for any of the following purposes:

• Serving advertisements of any kind
• Targeted advertising
• Personalized advertising
• Retargeted advertising
• Interest-based advertising
• Selling data to data brokers
• Providing data to information resellers
• Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes
• Creating, building, or supplementing user profiles or databases unrelated to providing the ClappX service
• Training, retraining, or improving any AI or machine learning models — including our own models or those of any third party

11.3 Transfers of Google User Data

ClappX does not transfer Google user data to any third party, except:

• To third-party AI services (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI) acting as data processors, solely to generate the analytics insights and recommendations displayed in your ClappX dashboard. These services process data in real time and do not retain it beyond the immediate API request
• As necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse)
• To comply with applicable laws or regulations
• As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, only with your explicit prior consent

11.4 Human Access to Google User Data

ClappX does not allow humans to read Google user data, unless:

• You have given affirmative consent to view specific data
• It is necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating a bug or abuse)
• It is necessary to comply with applicable law
• The data (including derivations) is aggregated and anonymized and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy and other jurisdictional legal requirements

11.5 Use of AI Services with Google User Data

11.6 Revoking Access

You may revoke ClappX's access to your Google data at any time through Settings → Platforms in your ClappX dashboard or through your Google Account permissions. Upon revocation, we will cease accessing your Google data and delete any cached Google data within 30 days.

11.7 Internal Compliance

All ClappX employees, agents, contractors, and successors are required to comply with this Google API Services User Data Policy. We maintain internal policies and training to ensure that all personnel who may access Google user data understand and adhere to these Limited Use requirements.

12. Meta Platform Data Handling

ClappX accesses Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising data through the official Meta Marketing API. Our use of data received from Meta adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Meta Developer Policies.

Data we access from Meta: Ad account information, campaign performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions, spend), audience insights, and creative performance data. We access this data in read-only mode and do not modify your Meta ad campaigns.

How to revoke access: You may disconnect Meta from your ClappX account at any time through Settings → Platforms. You can also remove ClappX from your Facebook App Settings, which triggers an automatic data deletion callback. See our Data Deletion page for full details.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through a prominent notice on our platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
