Your Right to Data Deletion

At ClappX, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This includes data collected through connected advertising platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4).

This right is provided in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 17 (Right to Erasure), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) (Right to Delete), the Meta Platform Terms (Data Deletion Callback requirements), and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Your account profile and login credentials.
  • All connected platform data (Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4 campaign data).
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens for connected platforms.
  • AI-generated analytics, playbooks, and recommendations.
  • Brand profile and onboarding data.
  • Billing history (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • All associated team member accounts and data.

How to Request Deletion

Option 1: Through Your Account

If you can access your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will initiate the deletion process immediately.

Option 2: Email Request

Send a deletion request to info@clapp.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity before processing.

Option 3: Meta (Facebook) Data Deletion Callback

If you connected your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) account to ClappX, you can initiate data deletion directly from your Facebook App Settings. When you remove ClappX from your Facebook apps:

  • We automatically receive a data deletion callback from Meta
  • All Meta-related advertising data (campaign metrics, ad account data, audience insights) is queued for deletion
  • You will receive a confirmation code that you can use to check the status of your deletion request
  • Deletion is completed within 30 days of the callback

Option 4: Google Account Permissions

If you connected Google Ads or Google Analytics 4 to ClappX, you can revoke our access through your Google Account permissions. Once access is revoked, we will delete all Google-related data from your ClappX account within 30 days.

Deletion Timeline

  • Immediate: Your account is deactivated and platform access tokens are revoked.
  • Within 24 hours: Connected platform data and AI-generated content are purged from active systems.
  • Within 30 days: All data is permanently deleted from our backup systems.
  • Exception: We may retain minimal billing records as required by applicable tax and accounting laws for up to 7 years.

Confirmation

After deletion is complete, we will send a confirmation email to your registered email address. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, please contact us at info@clapp.in.

Disconnecting Platforms Without Deleting Your Account

If you only want to remove data from a specific advertising platform without deleting your entire account, you can disconnect individual platforms from Settings → Platforms. This revokes our access to that platform and removes all associated data while keeping your account active.
